Access
NH ChILD’s goal is to provide access to Ideal Learning early care and education to all New Haven children from birth to age eight.
Infrastructure |
---|
To provide access for all children, New Haven needs an additional 2,500 high- quality early childhood spaces. Over the next 10 years, NHChILD will work to create 2000 new slots for infants and toddlers; and 500 for preschool aged children. |
Public Funding |
---|
High-quality early care and education is expensive, making it unavailable to many families in New Haven. NHChILD will work to establish sustainable funding sources that bridge the gap between what families can afford to pay and what programs need to provide high-quality care. |
Early Childhood Resource Network |
---|
To help families easily access opportunities, resources, subsidies and more, NHChILD will create a comprehensive interactive, on-line system available to all families with young children. |
